The Flick Finder application is built using React JavaScript, the YouTube API, and The Movie Database (TMDb) API. It allows users to discover top movies, TV shows, and trending content. The application features a search function for easily finding desired movies and TV shows. Each movie and TV show poster includes YouTube trailers. The process involves setting up a React project, installing dependencies, obtaining API keys, creating React components, fetching data from the TMDb API, displaying posters, implementing search functionality, fetching YouTube trailers using the movie or TV show titles as search queries, embedding the trailers in the application, and styling the user interface.
A 3-person team based application to replicate and create a functional social media platform similar to Instagram, allowing users to share photos and interact with each other's posts utlizing React as our front-end framework and Python, Django, and PostgreSQL for our back-end.
